My teacher told me this site is a great help so I am checking it out. We will see if he is right. LOL

I am needing help on a problem. I am needing to find all the values where x = a where the function discontinuous.

I have f(x) = (x^2 - 4) / (over) (x + 2)

I think the answer is 2. I dont know if I am right butmy teacher said I could post my answer on here and get some great feedback.

By the way everyone make sure you laugh today and don't make life so complicated!

Close but it is discontinuous when the denominator is zero. When x=2 the denominator is 4, not 0. A very small change will make your answer correct.
