Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out the below question:

Find the values of x for which (2 + x)^4 = 16 + 16x + x^4

So what would be the simplest route to take to find x? Does it involve using the binomial theorem on the left side first?

Thanks

By the binomial theorem, we find:

\(\displaystyle (a+b)^4=a^4+4a^3b+6a^2b^2+4ab^3+b^4\)

Using this, what does the given equation become?
