I have a set population of P
That population has variable characteristics R
I have quality checks that are performed on A subset of R that I represent as Q
What is the appropriate way to get to a sound metric of quality on the population by individual represented by I
I have only had basic maths. So the way I see it
I = 1 - (Q / P) * 100
I don't think this is correct and I don't know what maths are possible with the numbers at hand. Essentially I'm driving to the best way to represent quality of the population that is traceable to the individual contributor.
Humbly appreciate your assistance. I don't even know what to call this math, so apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum,mitt is my first post.
