basic questions regarding meaning of questions

I think I know how to do these, but I'm not sure. With respect to the following instructions:

. . ."Find all solutions to the given linear system...."

. . ."Solve the linear system with thte given augmented matrix."

Do I do the same thing to solve each of those problems? The first one is a system of equations. The second one is just a matrix.

For those problems we can solve them by using substitution/elimination and/or we could solve them systematically.

right...?

All linear systems have either: 1) A single solution (all lines are different), 2) No solution whatsoever, 3) Multiple (Infinite) solutions (all are the same).

For the first question, they are asking you to find IF it has a solution, and if so, to find it.

The second part is basically telling you that your system has a solution and you must find it. ALthough, the questions may be 'trick" questions.
