Basic math question, need confirmation

I am trying to figure out the conversion of square meters to sqaure yards.
I must quote a project for 2000 square meters of fabric.
My partner(american) is requesting I pay 33$ for every yard sold
I need to come up with a price to give the designer(european) that will allow me to pay my partner and also make myself a profit.
Also, is there a difference of linear yards in terms of meters?
