I know im meant to add in my workings but its like im clicking buttons S:

i know will take few steps
first remove the / so will look like 3x - 6 = something

right?

EDIT:
if my formatting is wrong please correct me ^^
3x - 6 / 4 = 3
3x - 6 = 12
3x = 18
x = 6

If "3x - 6 / 4 = 3" is meant to be "(3x - 6)/4 = 3", so the "3x - 6" is ALL over the 4, then this is correct.

3x = 18
x = 6

Your work is shown quite nicely. As an instructor, I'd be quite happy to see this on a student's homework! As for whether or not the answer is correct, you don't need us for that: Just plug your answer back into the original equation. Does "x = 6" make the equation work?

. . . . .(3[6] - 6)/4 = (18 - 6)/4 = (12)/4 = 3

Then you've got the right answer! ;)
