I can't seam to figure this one out and need help with steps so can understand. Who ever could give aid, thank you.


Consider the function: g(x) = 2x2 2x + 5

Find the average rate of change of g(x) on the interval [-2,3]. Round your answer to two decimal places, if necessary.

What is the definition of average rate of change of a function[g(x)] within a given interval(x1,x2)?

Find the average rate of change of g(x) on the interval [-2,3]. Round your answer to two decimal places, if necessary.
Try using what you used back in algebra, and also in real life. One of the more common examples would be taking the number of hours for a road-trip (found by subtracting the beginning time from the ending time) and the number of miles travelled (found by subtracting the beginning odometer reading from the ending odometer reading), and using division to find the average rate of speed. ;)
