Hi! I'm attempting to solve for the horizontal and vertical asymptotes for f(x) = (x^2+2)/(x^2-1). The readout on my calculator looks the same as my answer key. To me it looks like vertical: x = -1 and 1; horizontal: y = 1. However, the answer key shows y = -1 and x = 3. Could you help me solve? Thank you!

Your assessment is correct.

The answer key values you have listed are wrong. (I'd recheck them.)

Did you double-check your answer using analytical approach?

If you did it - you would know for sure that your assessment was correct.
