Hi! So I am completing a major assignment in college that is review of past material, I have a few questions I could use a hand with.

Which of the following words or phrases would indicate that an inequality should be used to model a situation rather than an equation: divided by, is equal, product of, at least.

Is it: at least?

It takes Karl 15 minutes to clean his room. It takes Jesse at least twice as long to clean her room. Which inequality expresses this relationship, if x is equal to the amount of time it takes Jesse to clean her room?

?????????????

Rewrite |5x + 7| < 10 as a double inequality.

No idea, help!

Yes.

Looks good to me. Since "twice as long" is "30", you could also say "x > 30", which is the same thing mathematically.

Try here for an explanation. You'll start with:

. . . . .-10 < 5x + 7 < 10
;)
