In an Arithmetic equation: a(sub 5) = 0, and a(sub 25) = 8. Find a(sub 2).

I do not understand, or in other words I need help with the very first steps. So, if you could please guide me through the first few steps it would be great!

Plus, would I have to find the sums through a(sub 8)? Or, would I try to find a( sub zero) first?

Thank you very much, for your time in helping me!

would I have to find the sums through a8?

I see no equation, other than those assignments of value for a5 and a25.

Is this part of an arithmetic sequence?

Are you able to describe the sums through a8 that you're thinking about?

Help me in math now!, you ought to post the entire exercise statement, as you received it, now!

How many times have we asked you in your threads to provide the entire assignment? I can't remember. I won't help you, until you provide a complete exercise statement with instructions. You are always free to wait for somebody else to assist you. Cheers

Finding Sequences.

Hi! Here is the problem:

Find a(sub 1) given a(sub 4) is 1.296 and r=.6.

Could you guide me through the first couple of steps because I do not understand how to complete these.

Thanks you so much, and for your time!

Okay. Now I need to spend more time explaining our guidelines. (This is getting old.)

Please do not post duplicate threads. If you are unsatisfied with responses in any of your threads, you need to add a post and say so.

Otherwise, you have apparently provided as much information as you are willing to; hence, wait or go somewhere else for help.

Do not simply throw more fishing lines (unbaited, no less ) into the pond, expecting to catch different types of fish, capish?

This notice is STRIKE 1. Three strikes, and you're out for awhile (i.e., your posts will either need to be approved before they appear on the boards or you will not be able to sign-in for awhile.)

Cheers

Hi! I am sorry if I duplicated the post, I have not yet adapted to this site, therefore I thought that you had to post again on the wall. The reason I do not understand is because the teacher did not explain well enough, and no missed classes. By the way I have shown exactly what my worksheet tells me everything is in exact form as it is on there. Plus, the arithmetic sequence is a sequence where you add a common difference also pronounced as 'd' . Example: 1,4,7..., n+3. The geometric sequence is when you multiply a common ratio 'r'. Example: 52, 156, 468,..., n*3. By the way thank you all for your time in helping me with this problem. I understand I did something wrong and I am sorry.
