I recently did a problem on a quiz the question was

A trapezoid with bases of lenghts 20, 24 and with a height of 9 find the area

what I did first was find the median I added 20+24
Then I divided by two and I got 22
after that I am stuck i don't know if to multiply the median times the height to get the area

Please help I would really appreciate it :)

Yep!

Area = altitude * [(base1+base)/2]

So you have A= 22h :)

Simply fill in the height and thats the answer. ;)

A= 9*((20+24)*.5)
A=198
