Areas and volume: height of batter in 10-by-12 cake pan

i need help with this problem

A rectangular cake pan has a base 10cm by 12 cm and the height of 8cm. If 810cm of batter is poured into the pan, how far up the side will the batter come?

use

Volume = (base area) * (height)

This is a simple multiplication and division problem.

10 [multiply] 12 [multiply] x=810

or (as we write it in math boards)

10 * 12 * x = 810

120 * x = 810

x = 810/120

Now finish it...
