Area of a region

Please help solve
To find the area, you need to know some things about the shape. I would expect you to have been given such information; in this case, if we guess from the picture that it is a "kite", then we can use the formula for the area of a kite. Do you have such a formula? If not, then you have to know that the diagonals of a kite are perpendicular, and you could derive the formula for yourself.

Unfortunately, you've given us no information by which we can determine what help you need.

Look at \(\Delta ABC~\&~\Delta ADC\) We are given the length of \(\overline{AC}\).
What is the height of those triangles? Can you find the areas?
