Determine the distance between L1=(-2,1,0)+s(1,-1,1) and L2=(0,1,0)+t(1,1,2)
:was the question
and i got the answer by finding the cross product: which was (1,1,1) so i+j+k
and then i found the vector joining the two given points (0+2)(1-1)(0-0) = (2,0,0)
and i found the vector perpendicular to the given lines: [1,1,1]/sqrt(1)
and thn got the dot product: (-2,1,0)-(0,1,0) dotproducy (1,1,1)/1
(2,0,0)*(1,1,1)/1
=(2)(0)+(3)(1)+(0)(1)=3
and my answer was 3.
is this correct?
