Another fun one!

Happy...

You are my new favorite person! So let me get this straight, you subtracted 16 from both sides and divided by 9?

Let's try again. You are studying "Complex" Numbers, right?

They may be called "Imaginary" {grumble}.

Great. Then what do you have against the Quadratic Formula?

Tk...

Nothing. I absolutely love the quadratic equation. As a matter of fact, I have spent more time with her over the last few weeks than with my wife...but the same problem I have with my wife I have with QE. I don't know how to work them!

9y²+16=0

You're making it harder than it is.

Various Hints:

9y² + 16 = 9y² + 0*x +16 = 0

A = 9
B = 0
C = 16

B2 - 4*A*C = 02 - 4*9*16 = -22*32*42

Okay Tk...

So everything there makes sense. But is that the final answer? I am not sure...

I can't help you with your personal conficence. If you are acquainted with the Quadratic Formula, then plug in the values and be done with it. Do it correctly and there is no need for absence of confidence.

Maybe it would be good simply to write out the Quadratic Formula.

Show us what you get.
