An athletic comimitee with three members is to be randomly selected from a group of 6 gymnists , 4 weightlifters, and 8 long-distance runners. Determine the probability that the commitee is represented by each of the 3 types of athletes.

ok so I started this problem by going 6p1+4p1+8p1/18p3 but thats not right,

when you say AND you multiply

6C1*4C1*8C1 / 18C3
