am I allowed to rewrite it as:
du =4x + 10 dx
(du - 10)/4 = dx

or can I only rewrite it as:
du/(4x+10) =dx

As Subhotosh Kahn said, this should be du= (4x+ 10)dx.
And you can integrate both sides now.

(du - 10)/4 = dx

or can I only rewrite it as:
