v= √48h Determine the velocity of a roller coaster at the bottom of a 134-foot hill. Round to the nearest tenth. help me please, Math is not my best subject

Denis

I'm asking is that what I do to solve this problem? Or is it simplifying the square 48 x 134 ??? Any ideals, Thanks for your help! I'm not a teacher, I'm in 8th grade.

\(\displaystyle \text{You mean this?}\) v= √(48h)

\(\displaystyle \text{ I ask this because (sqrt(48))(134) }\)
\(\displaystyle \text{would give an unrealistic number.}\)

Determine the velocity of a roller coaster at the bottom of a 134-foot hill.
Round to the nearest tenth.

What do you want to end up with, feet per second or miles per hour?

\(\displaystyle \sqrt{48(134)} \ \approx \ 80.2 \ \ to \ the \ nearest \ tenth.\)

That would correspond to 80.2 feet/second.

I would stop there, unless the equivalent in miles per hour is desired.
