Hi Ted,
I am working with substion method with no solution how do I do this?

the problem is 3x+y=3 and 10x-2y=26 please help me

Start with 3x+y=3 and maqke y the subject:

3x+y=3

Subtract 3x from both sides.

y = 3 - 3x


Now substitute, 3 - 3x, for y, in 10x-2y=26:

10x -2(3 - 3x) = 26

Distribute to get:

10x -6 +6x = 26

Solve for x.

Then substitute your, x, into y = 3 - 3x, to find y.
