Here's the problem: A rectagular photograph measures 9cm by 6 cm. Sallie will place a frame around the picture that is x cm wide. If the area of the frame is the same as the area of the photograph, what is the width of the frame? Could someone help me get started on this?

Adding a border x wide to a 9 by 6 rectangle creates a 9+2x by 6+2x rectangle;
do you follow that?
So (9 + 2x)(6 + 2x) = 2(9)(6); ok?
