Hello. I'm sorry to say I'm badly stuck on what seems to be a simple one. Please help.
Show that a3 − b3 = (a − b)(a2 + ab + b2)
start with the right-hand-side (RHS) and multiply it out:
(a − b)(a2 + ab + b2) = (a)(a2 + ab + b2) − (b)(a2 + ab + b2)
and continue....
So starting by the RHS is a valid approach? Man, I didn't know that. Thanks!
