I have a problem that I tried to work out 24a³ + 2a² - 15 / 3a-2 and got -4a² - 3a -5/a-2 but that's not the solution.

What are the directions for this problem? What are you trying to do? Simplify? Perform long division?

Also, if you mean (24a³ + 2a² - 15) /( 3a-2), you must use grouping symbols (parentheses) to show that.
