Each course has a certain number of "credits". Multiply each course's credits by the number corresponding to the letter grade. Add up all the points. Divide by the number of credits. This gives you the "weighted" average.

The "C" in "Accounting" is worth 2 point but it was 2 hour course: 2(2)= 4.
