Need help with his algebra equation?
the evans family need to save water

they have put a brickin their toilet cistern
the cistern fills to a level of 21cm after each flush.
With a brick in it ,it still fills to the same level but less water is used.

a formula for the amount of water saved is..

S = 4 vn

v..... is the volume of the brick in cm,squared
n..... is the number of people in the house
S......is the amount of water saved in cm,squared

with a brick of volume 300cm squared they save 8400 cm squared of water.

How many people live in the house ?

Rearange the formula to make an equivalent equation with n on its own side ?

Solve the equation?

Write your answers as a sentence ?

Homework not done here. Show how far you flushed, whoops, got.

They gave a formula that relates the numbers S, v, and n.

They gave a value for each of the numbers S and v.

Then, it appears that they want you to solve the given formula for n, and substitute S and v again, to arrive at the same answer.

Substituting these numbers into the formula yields an equation with n.

Solve this equation for n because they ask for the value of n.
