I have a question. The nutritional chart on the side of a box of a cereal states that there are 87 calories in a 3/4 cup serving. How many calories are in 8 cups of the cereal?

I at least am not going to respond to further posts until you begin to follow the rules of the forum: show your work or at least explain your ideas. You have now asked numerous questions, many on the same topic, without ever showing that you are making any effort to comprehend what the responses you receive mean. Quite frankly, no one at a university is going to put up with that complete lack of effort either.

It is, at any rate, hard to believe (or,perhaps, sad to believe) that this would be a question from a university algebra class. It is, basically, an arithmetic problem and should be doable by any reasonably intelligent 8th or 9th grade student. This is, I believe, the fifth question you have posted, all essentially identical, just with different numbers. Can you not apply the 'proportion' idea given to you in the first thread you posted?
