1. Given the function y= 2x squared minus 6x + 4

a. Factor the equation to find the zeros.

b. Used the quadractic fomula to find the zeros.

c. Write an equation of a parabold whose vetex is a maximum.

2. Find x if the area of the shaded region is 112in squared

shaded area = length 4x+5, width x + 6
box in shaded area = length 4x-2, width x+3

Ambe, ask someone to show you how to post a problem properly...

hi :p
My exam is tomorrow so I know how you feel.

a) try factoring out a 2 before you start

2(xsquared -3x +4)

or you could start factoring straight from the equation.
2xsquared -6x + 4
what makes when 8 multiplied and adds to make -6 ?

You have posted some exercises, but haven't posted your actual question.

By not showing any work of your own, are you saying that you don't know this material at all (which would explain why you couldn't even get started), and that you are requesting lesson links on the various topics necessary to understand and complete these exercises? :?:

If so, please provide a complete listing of the topics on which you need instruction. If not, kindly reply with a clear listing of what you've tried so far, so we can "see" where you are needing help.

Please be complete. Thank you! :D

Eliz.
