How do i do -6x+3/4-5x=129/4

So far i have combine like terms so that would be -11x+3/4=129/4 then subtract 3/4 to get -11x=126/4 then divide by 11 is this right? :twisted:

Pretty good, excepting the NEGATIVE 129 that turned magically into POSITIVE 129.

Be careful.

Move terms by changing sign(!):
6x + 5x = 3/4 - 129/4
11x = -126/4
CROSS MULTIPLY(!!):
44x = -126
x = -126/44 = -63/22

Oh Oh......... :roll:
