First do the indicated multiplication- (a- b)(c+ d)= ac- bc- bd+ ad. Here a= 2x, b= 3, c= x, and d= 4. When you say "work out this algebra" do you mean "solve this equation"? If so multiplying gives a quadratic equation which can be solved by factoring (if possible), completing the square, or using the quadratic formula. Do you know those?
