There are nine male students to every 10 female students at a university. If there are 26,239 students at the university, how many are women?

M = number of males
F = number of females

M + F = 26,239

Ratio of males to females is 9 to 10:

M/F = 9/10

You have two equations and two unknowns. Solve.
