In 15 years, Maya will be twice as old as David is now. In 15 years, David will be as old as Maya will be 10 years from now. How old are Maya and David now?

so if I just randomly say that maya is 15, then in 10 years, Maya will be 25 then that's David's age in 15 years and in 15 years maya would be 30... it just doesn't make sense a little hint please?

Let

Maya's age now = M

David's age now = D

In 15 years,

Maya's age will be = M + 15

David's age will be = D + 15

In 15 years, Maya will be twice as old as David is now →M + 15 = 2 * D

In 15 years, David will be as old as Maya will be 10 years from now → D + 15 = M + 10

Now solve for M and D from above...
