I'm thinking about taking a class at a local community college, but instead of taking a class I was thinking about taking advantage of this program that they have where you can just take a test on a subject and get the credits for it. The class I want to test on is Intermediate Algebra and the college is Taft Community College. Can anyone give me a list of topics I will need to know in order to pass the test? Any advice on the test? Also, I have many resources for learning what I need to learn, but if you happen to have some resources that you can recommend it would be appreciated.

Please start a new thread with a new topic.

If you put your post added to another thread - most of will miss it and your question will not be answered!

I would think one of the things you would want to do is to obtain, or at least look at, a syllabus (course of study) so that you will know what you are expected to know for Taft Community College in particular. Although the course of study is probably dictated by the state, I would think you would still like to know the particulars for Taft.

As far as study goes, I have always found it of help to be at least a bit ahead of the present course so you might at least take a look at advanced algebra.

Different schools cover different materials in different orders from different books using different methods and under different course names. For your specific institution for this particular school year, your best bet is to confer with somebody there. We really can't provide anything specific. Sorry. ;)
