Find the area of a circle in which the diameter is 6 square root(3).
You see, the square root is a number just like any other one for the purposes of area calculation. If you know how to calculate circle area for integer diameter you already know enough to solve this one too.

The area of a circle with diameter 8 is pi r^2, so pi 4^2, so pi times 16, right?

This one works exactly the same way: pi times (3 sqrt(3))^2.
REMEMBER that sqrt(n)^2 = n
