Hello,
You need to first find the least common denominator. In order to do that you need to make a list of all multiples of one of the denominators.
The first number on the list that is evenly divisble by the other denominator is the LCD.
For the first one it would be 9.
Then you need to build up your fraction to make your denominators the same.
1/9 is fine, 2/3 is not.
To build it up divide 3 into 9 and multiply it by the 2. So you would have 6/9.
Now your denominators are the same and you can simply add them together.
1/9+ 6/9
What did you get?
