A Triangle Problem

Hello,

I am stuck with this problem. I solved the first question by using its ratios but for the second question I have no idea how to solve it. I found its solution (I added its picture ) but i could not understand how they got the first question. I would be really happy if you could help me with this.

I'm confused. You say you solved (1) using ratios, but don't understand how they solved (1)? Please explain how you solved it, and how they solved it.

The solution you show is their solution for (2), though it says (1), right? What part of it don't you understand?

It may help us if you translate the words.
 
For the question (1), answer is 2:3 because the ratio of △QAB:△QCB is 2:3. For the question (2), I added the solution but i do not understand it. I would appreciate if anyone could explain this solution.

Also i do not know japanese yet.
