If a rocket is rising vertically at 268 m/s when it is at 1220 m up, how fast is the camera-to-rocket distance changing at this instant.

So far I have:

y= 1220 m
dy/dt = 268 m/s
x= ?
dx/dt = 0

I am pretty sure how to solve the rest of the question I just don't know how to find the value of x.

How does the camera relate to the rocket? What do "y" and "x" stand for, in your set-up?

Please be specific. Thank you.

Eliz.

You know what...I just realized that I have made a silly mistake. There is a picture in the text that was related to the question, and it gives all the values that I needed. Silly me...been a long day. Thanks anyway.
