A question about proving 1+ tan x/1 + cot x = sec x/csc x

I need to prove that 1+ tan x/1 + cot x = sec x/csc x

I am finding this problem very difficult and any help I can get would be great. Thank you very much.

Try converting everything into terms of sin(x) and cos(x) on the left side, simplify, and see what you get.

(1+ tanx)/(1 + cotx)

= (1 +tanx)/(1+ 1/tanx)

= tanx = sinx/cosx

= (1/cosx)/(1/sinx)....You can finish it now
