A machine fills soft drink bottles with a mean weight per container of 16 of 16.0 oz. If no more than 5% of the bottles weigh less than 15.8 oz, what must the standard deviation of the weight equal?

I do not even know where to start with this problem. I am going to assume that you would still use the equation of (x-m)/sd=z, but I am really not sure. If anyone can give me any idea, I would be forever greatful.

If you are given a mean and a standard deviation, can you find the percentage that would be expected to be some number of deviations from the mean?

Can you work the process backwards to answer this exercise?

Does this mean that you cannot find the percentage, given the mean and the standard deviation?
