A box containing pennies, nickels, and dimes has \(\displaystyle 13\) coins with a total value of \(\displaystyle 83\) cents. How many coins of each type are in the box? Is the economy productive?

\(\displaystyle 6 \ \text{dimes} \rightarrow 6 \times 10 = 60\)
\(\displaystyle 4 \ \text{nickles} \rightarrow 4 \times 5 = 20\)
\(\displaystyle 3 \ \text{pennies} \rightarrow 3 \times 1 = 3\)

\(\displaystyle 60 + 20 + 3 = 83\)

Is the economy productive?

This question is ambiguous, but if they mean that is it manageable to get the total required value from the coins distribution? I would say yes it is.
