6.59x10^-22 / 1.38x10^-23 = 47.75??

Your attachment is unreadable. The reason your image is blurry is because a full-size screen shot won't fit in a small post frame. The forum reduces such over-sized images. We get the best results by first cropping off all irrelevant parts of the image.

I get 4.775x10^-45 when I try.

I think you are evaluating (6.59x10^-22 / 1.38) x 10^-23 rather than (6.59x10^-22) / (1.38x10^-23) as required.

How are you doing the evaluation? I did it using the EE or Exp button on my calculator, which enters scientific notation directly (as a single number). If you enter it as written (multiplication by a power), you need the parentheses to force it to treat the denominator as a whole.

Note that the notation you wrote is a technical violation of the order of operations, because it can be inferred that the denominator is (1.38x10^-23), though no parentheses are used as properly required.

That was the example/problem

Thanks, I'll try it with parentheses.
