Hi guys, i need your help. Im not here to give you all a sob story or anything. But its three days before the last day of summer school and as of today i have a 51% in my class. I need a 70% to pass. Becuase of my 51% my teacher gave me a long list of problems to do in attempt to pass. So if possible at all i need you guys help, so that i have a chance at graduating. These are some problems i need help with on this sheet

Solve Each System Of Equations. Use either substitution or elimination.

1. 2x+3y=10
x+ 6y= 32

2. r + 5s= -17
2r-6s= -2

3. 2a + 5b= -13
3a-4b= 38

4. 5/2x + 1/3y= 13
1/2x - y= -7

Show us your work on each of the problems and/or exactly where you are stuck.

These are standard problems - no trickery involved. If cannot do these - that means you really did not learn the topic.

I'm really sorry....if you can't begin to solve these problems and show us what you've done, it may well be necessary for you to repeat this class in order to earn credit.

Getting credit in a class SHOULD indicate that one has done at least the minimum in being able to do the work required for the class.

I'm sorry...that's the way it is.

ok with the first one i tried solving by using elimination

2x + 3y= 10
+ x+ 6y= 32

3x+ 9y=42 is what i got next

then i tried to divide both sides by 9 and that when i got stuck

Marvin, think a bit: does what you did leave you in a position
to eliminate either x or y?
