4x-3y=20 and y=3x-10 in using substitution

what is 4x-3y=20 and y=3x-10 in using substitution systems I cant get it
Saying that you haven't been able to "get it" suggests that you have tried and not met with success. Please reply showing what you have tried, starting with what you got when you substituted from the "y=" of the second equation in for "y" in the first equation. Thank you! ;)
 
Your equations can be rearranged this way:
4x - 3y = 20 [1]
3x - y = 10 [2]

Do you understand that?
If not, you need help from your teacher.

Considering that the question specifically says to use SUBSTITUTION and is given in a form where that can be used, this suggestion is not helpful.

Since the OP already has y = 3x - 10, put 3x - 10 in place of y in 4x - 3y = 20 and solve for x...
