My calculated derivative of f(x)= x3 +12x2 + 53 +14 , was f1(x)= 3x2 + 24x + 53 is this correct? the given slope of the tangent line is 5.
I eventually have to find an ordered pair for a point on a graph.

But right now I'm stuck on this, all I could figure was:

3x2 + 24x + 53 = 5
3x2 + 24x = -48
3x2 + x = -2
x2 + x = -2/3

Now what?
Or is there a correct way to factor this?
