3 log-base-2 of (16): convert to exponential form...?

Use the basic relationship they taught, which converts between the two forms:

. . . . . . . . . .y = log<sub>b</sub>(x)

. . . . .means the same thing as

. . . . . . . . . . .x = b<sup>y</sup>

Then just plug-n-chug.
