This exercise is about combining like-terms, to simplify.

Hint: Do you understand that the minus sign in front of the grouping symbols means that each term inside is being subtracted?

Correct!

Can also be written as -(4x + 2)

In this case, the negative sign in front of the grouping symbols means that each term inside is multiplied by -1
