2sin^2(theta) +sin(theta) -1 =0

I know you have to factor it and then set them to zero but Im stuck on how to factor it! Please help!! Thank youuuu

Can you factor this: 2x^2 + x - 1?

Hove you considered the Quadratic Formula, or Completing the Square?

With just about everything, don't think of it as an end. Think of it as a tool that will be useful some time later. In this case, you seem to have forgotten how to factor ONLY because the expression LOOKED more complicated. When the light came on, so that you saw the PATTERN, the old tools came back to you, quickly.

Good work!
