1 meter ~ 1.09 yards (roughly)

10 cubic meters is about ______ cubic yards. Guess.

Answer (using more decimal places):
13.08

So, you get about
30
percent more of a cubic yard in every cubic meter.

I don't get it. Is this supposed to be a puzzle? (13.08÷10)1=30.8%(13.08 \div10) -1 =30.8\%.

(13.08÷10)1 \displaystyle (13.08 \div 10) - 1\

= 1.3081 \displaystyle = \ 1.308 - 1 \

= 0.308 \displaystyle = \ 0.308 \

= 30.8% \displaystyle = \ 30.8\% \

 31%\displaystyle \ \approx 31\%

It is supposed to be an estimation exercise.

AvgStudent, you have a good correction for the second spoiler. A lesson
here is don't take on face value what a poster/member/author has written.
Investigate. Trust but verify.

You just showed what I did, and rounded up to 31%. That contradicts your 30%? I don't understand?
