QS:We have 10 tennis balls and 3 bowls ,we want to put these balls in these bowls in a way that the number of balls in every bowl is an odd number???

for solving it I put 5 of them in one bowl and 4 of them in another and 1 of them in the last one then I put the bowl which contains 1 ball in the one with 4 balls but I think it is a bit strange and unfortunately I do not have another idea So please help me whether it is true or not???

If you add three odd integers you will always get an odd integer.
Ten is an even integer. So what is wrong with the problem?

You know how can we add 3 balls ???we have only 10 balls and we want to share them between 3 bowls in a way that every bowl has odd number of balls. You know if you divide 10 by 3 the answer is
3.33 so how it is possible to do that??

It is impossible to do what the problem asks you to do.

Hello, abtia!

This is a classic puzzle, and you found the solution!

We have 10 tennis balls and 3 bowls.
We want to put these balls bn these bowls in a way that
the number of balls in every bowl is an odd number.

For solving it I put 5 of them in one bowl and 4 of them in another and 1 of them in the last one.
Then I put the bowl which contains 1 ball in the one with 4 balls.
But I think it is a bit strange, and unfortunately I do not have another idea.
So please help me whether it is correct or not?

You are correct!
Each bowl now contains an odd number of balls.

Thanks to all of you for participating in this post,
I have another QS:can I say these kind of questions are related to algebra? If not in what category should I ask it???

Denis,
for making all numbers odd,did you do as I did?I mean putting two bowls together??
