Hello Mikoo:

Your inequality is not clear because you did not type any grouping symbols.

What you typed could be interpreted as:

(1/2)K >= -(1/6)K

OR

1/(2K) >= -1/(6K)

OR

(1/2)K >= -1/(6K)

OR

1/(2K) >= -(1/6)K

Do you see the differences? I cannot determine which version you're talking about.

If you point to "Forum Help" at the top of this page, a drop-down menu will appear. Select "Karl's Notes -- Typing Math", and read about how to type your math expressions clearly.

Also, if you have not already done so, please read the post titled "Read Before Posting". It explains your responsibilities for seeking help at this web site. In summary, we like to see a work-in-progress on your part. If you post your work or thoughts, then it shows initiative on your part.

Finally, your command, "so help me", would be better rephrased to be more like a request and less like a demand. (Nobody here works for you.)

Have you worked with inequalities before?

Do you understand that the answer to this exercise is not a single number, but an interval of numbers?

Cheers,

~ Mark :)

Saying that solution is a "two-step equation ["inequality"??]" means nothing more than that it can be completed in two steps. You can use more steps if you like, and there is no one "sacred" "right" first step. :shock:

Just use all of the various methds you have learned, and get started! :D
