\(\displaystyle -5<2-3x<11\)
Subtract 2 throughout:
\(\displaystyle -7<-3x<9\)
Now, divide by -3. BUT, remember, when you divide or multiply by a negative you have to switch the inequality sign.
\(\displaystyle \frac{7}{3}>x>-3\) or \(\displaystyle -3<x<\frac{7}{3}\)
